"The article, published in the Istanbul University publication JCRPE, bears the signatures of 11 doctors, nine of whom are from Istanbul University, one from Marmara University, and an LGBT activist psychiatrist. The study was approved by the Istanbul University Medical Ethics Committee with the file number 2021/559. It is seen that the psychiatrist who signed the research clearly made LGBT propaganda in his social media accounts. The fact that an LGBTI activist can undertake the psychiatric process, which is the most important stage in deciding the need for medical intervention, reveals a terrifying problem," the statement said.

In an environment where homosexuality is encouraged from social media to traditional media, the perception that gender is not innate but preferable, and a planned gender confusion is created in children, it is a vital issue how to approach the increasing gender confusion among adolescents as a result of all these," the statement added.
A CALL TO THE MINISTRIES
Prof. Dr. Tufan Tükek, Dean of Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, stated that the statements regarding the investigation would be positive, and the Ministry of Health was invited to share with the public the research conducted on similar issues.
In the statement, the Higher Education Institution was invited to examine the studies carried out on these issues in detail, while the Ministry of Justice was called to compensate for the legal gaps that made these interventions possible for children under the age of 18.
It was pointed out that the Ministry of Family and Social Services should take precautions against the propaganda activities carried out against children under the age of 18.
