“Israel’s attitude toward children and women is the equivalent of terrorism. There’s no other way to put it,” Lula said in his weekly social media address.
“If I know a place is full of children, even if there’s a monster inside, I can’t kill the children just because I want to kill the monster.”
“Israel seems to want to occupy the Gaza Strip and expel the Palestinians, and this is not right and fair,” he added.
Da Silva called for the establishment of a Palestinian state “so that Palestinians can live in peace.”
The comments came as Israeli occupation forces have been intensifying attacks and their genocide campaign against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
