Mahmut Arslan, President of Hak-İş Confederation, made evaluations about the discussions on the new Constitution, especially the Human Rights Action Plan announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
 
The President of Hak-İş Confederation, Mahmut Arslan, stated that they consider the study of a new Constitution that is civil, democratic, participatory, pluralist and libertarian as the basic need of the country and said "The new Constitution should be prepared with the participation of all segments of the society."

Arslan said that they consider the work of a new Constitution that is civil, democratic, participatory, pluralist and liberal as the basic need of the country, "We believe that the new Constitution should be a new and permanent social contract of Turkey. A Constitution, which has been prepared with the contribution and participation of all segments of the society, in which national and universal values ​​are harmonized, and that rises on a strong and inclusive ground, will be able to meet the needs and expectations. For this reason, it is important that all sections make great efforts for a new, civil and democratic Constitution that will pave the way for Turkey," he added.

Arslan, emphasizing that Hak-İş Confederation has always had a demand for a new and democratic Constitution on its agenda, said the following;
 
"From past to present, Hak-İş has worked on the demand for a new and civil Constitution on the one hand, and has participated in dialogue-based joint work on the other hand."
