Organized every two years, MUSIAD EXPO will be held for the 19th time this year.
Answering the questions of the National Newspaper about MUSIAD EXPO 2022, which will be held at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center between 2-5 November, MUSIAD Chairman Mahmut Asmalı made important statements.
Providing information about MUSIAD's projects as well as MUSIAD EXPO, Mahmut Asmalı explained that Turkey offers many opportunities for industry and trade.
On the other hand, Mahmut Asmalı gave information about the D-8 Ambassadors' Summit to be held within the body of MUSIAD EXPO and drew attention to the importance of cooperation between Muslim countries.

What is the latest situation in the Anatolian Production and Investment Movement initiated by MUSIAD?
Turkey is taking firm steps towards becoming the center of global trade. However, our country is also a safe harbor for international investors. With the mobilization we call the Anatolian Production and Investment Movement, there are projects implemented by our members all over our country. The amount of investment made by MUSIAD members throughout Turkey has reached 35 billion TL. By the end of the year, this figure is expected to reach 40 billion TL. At the same time, it is aimed that the 25 thousand new employments announced at the beginning of the year will reach 40 thousand employments. Our members, who made new investments in different locations within the framework of the Investment Year, add strength to the movement of trust centered on production and employment. With this move, an investment network was established that spread to 30 cities, including big cities, and reached 50 points. As MUSIAD, we reiterate that we maintain our trust and belief in our country's economy during this period in which we accelerate investment, and we are preparing for our MUSIAD EXPO 2022 fair with this belief.

MUSIAD EXPO, one of Turkey's largest fair organizations, brings together many industrialists, businessmen and investors from Turkey and the world. As MUSIAD President, can we hear from you about the importance of MUSIAD EXPO?
MUSIAD EXPO, which will open its doors for the 19th time, will bring together industrialists, investors and entrepreneurs from 124 countries in Istanbul, the center of global trade. At the fair, which we have been organizing since 1993, we will host more than 100,000 visitors and exhibitors from 124 countries in an area of 25 thousand square meters this year. We anticipate that B2B meetings that will bring together exhibitors and visitors from 24 different sectors will yield positive results. Thousands of business people who trade with MUSIAD EXPO for the first time and reach global markets with this fair also contribute significantly to the development of our cities in Anatolia. MUSIAD EXPO will offer a great opportunity for our country to reach its export target of 300 billion dollars in 2023. In this fair, we aim to contribute directly to the 2023 vision of our country with the maximum level of commercial connection.

Turkey is the world's favorite geopolitical location. In this context, MUSIAD EXPO is a great opportunity for global trade. How was the feedback you received at the fairs retrospectively? The D-8 Ambassadors' Summit will also be held within the body of MUSIAD EXPO. Can we also get your evaluations on this subject?
An event will be held at MUSIAD EXPO, the heart of commercial diplomacy, with the participation of the first D-8 ambassadors this year. Here, we will continue our international contacts by further strengthening the cooperation between the D-8. Our Ambassadors reception will be another important event that will bring together foreign missions in our country. In addition, the 26th International Business Forum-IBF will be held on November 3 within the framework of MUSIAD EXPO. In the program, which will be held with the theme of Food Safety and Generation Conservation, experts in the field will cover halal food and food safety in a comprehensive way. In summary, MUSIAD EXPO will deal with global issues with a sensitive perspective with an unusual exhibition experience and will touch both commercial life and social life.

What are the works of MUSIAD on green transformation in industry?
MUSIAD shapes its efforts for clean energy and clean environment with its Climate Manifesto and Energy Strategy. In this context, we continue our initiatives to develop sustainable energy resources and to integrate clean energy resources into the use of our members. We will develop a more effective action plan in this area with the studies to be published and the events to be organized in the upcoming period. In addition, as we stated in our Climate Manifesto, we support the increased use of renewable energy in a sustainable way, and we are on the path of net zero emissions by producing green energy at our headquarters. We are working in the MUSIAD ecosystem for the development of green hydrogen, new generation batteries, carbon capture and renewable gas technologies. In this framework, our members carry out studies for the development of domestic and national projects.
