Regarding the appointment of teachers, which has been on the agenda recently, Ali Yalçın, Chairman of Memur-Sen Confederation and Eğitim-Bir-Sen Union, called on the Ministry of National Education (MEB) to make an appointment to fill the existing gap. Yalçın pointed out that the need for teachers continues to increase every year. Pointing out that the need for teachers in schools increases every year, Yalçın reminded that these gaps are tried to be filled with paid teachers and said, “The urgent need for teachers in schools is met by an average of 60-80,000 paid teachers every year. The need for teachers, which was around 145,000 in 2018, is around 100,000 as of 2022. Appointing new teachers would be a good step.”
APPOINTMENT PROPER TO DEFICIT WILL BE SATISFYING
Noting that an appointment should be made by the Ministry of National Education regarding the teacher shortage in the system, underlined that this step was welcomed by the teacher candidates. Yalçın added, “the Ministry of National Education will make calculations to meet the need for teachers in the system, and accordingly take steps for a new appointment, it will generate satisfaction and will receive the support and prayers of our colleagues who are looking forward to the appointment.”
