The inevitable rise in meat prices has almost made an invitation to meat thieves. The suspect, who stole meat from the school's kitchen in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, was caught by the police teams and arrested.

The theft case in Arnavutköy reminded of the increase in the cases of stealing cheddar cheese from the markets due to the huge increases in the prices of dairy products.

SECURITY CAMERAS BEING CHECKED, MEAT THEFT IDENTIFIED

The suspect, who stole meat from the kitchen of the school where he used to work in Arnavutköy district of Istanbul, was caught by the police teams and arrested. Istanbul Police Department teams started a study after the meat was stolen from the kitchen of the high school in the district.

Examining the security camera footage, the teams found that the suspect, the former officer of the school, U.K. detected that.

U.K, who was caught by the teams on the street in the Merkez Mahallesi, was sent to the courthouse after the police operations.

The suspect was arrested on charges of "theft from the workplace".

MEAT HIKES CANNOT BE AVOIDED

The hikes, which are the result of the wrong livestock policy of the government for years, continue to force the producer and the consumer equally.

The breeders, who cannot replace the animals they sell because they cannot cope with the increasing production costs, express that the animal presence in the country has been decreasing for a long time and call on the authorities to take urgent measures in this regard.

THE SAME CASE HAS HAPPENED LAST YEAR WITH DAIRY PRODUCTS

One of the biggest effects of the inevitable rise of inflation was seen in the dairy products sector as of last year.

Dairy products such as white cheese, milk, yoghurt and butter increased by up to 300 percent in a very short time.

While dairy products are still on the rise, cheddar cheese thieves that haunt the markets continue to be in the news in newspapers and television.
