The Mehmet Akif Inan Awards, organized for the fourth time this year in order to keep alive the memory of Mehmet Akif Inan, the activist, poet and writer of the "Seven Beautiful Men", Founding Chairman of Memur-Sen, found their owners with the award ceremony held at Memur-Sen Headquarters.

Ali Yalçın, who said that every activity and work carried out as Memur-Sen is based on service understandings, founding codes and litigation awareness, said that scientific and intellectual research, humanitarian and social studies are also included in the labor and bread struggles.

"Cemil Meriç says, 'Every society is based on a book', here is the book we rely on, it tells us to build life as one and whole. With this belief, we strive to set the agenda in every work we put on our agenda, to stand in a responsible position and to carry out great and permanent works within our power. We distribute our awards in different fields in accordance with the versatility of our late Founding Chairman, Mehmet Akif Inan, who decided to organize Memur-Sen with the naivety of the poet, the naivety of the litigator and the determination of the field man. Tonight, we will present the awards in different fields that we believe have created a good and solid tradition, from business life to culture, arts and literature, from international value to outstanding service and loyalty," Yalçın said.

AK Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş said that he is happy to have reached this point as someone who remembers the founding years of Memur-Sen and knows how it came from difficult conditions until today.

"Memur-Sen is one of the best examples of what a solid foundation can go through and reach good days. Once again, we commemorate Mehmet Akif Inan with mercy, may his place be heaven. It is probably an important example of loyalty for you to commemorate a valuable person whose traces are still fresh in Turkey and whose traces are still followed by thousands of people, with such a beautiful ceremony," Kurtulmuş said.
