“HE MADE THE SOCIETY RISE FROM THE ASHES”
Reminding that we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Great Victory this year, Marmaris Mayor Mehmet Oktay invited all citizens to the celebrations to experience this great pride. Stating that the value and importance of national holidays have increased in the last period, Oktay said, “100 years ago, an unprecedented struggle was waged in these lands despite all the poverty. A nation that wants to be taken into captivity tells the whole world that this will never be possible with the struggle initiated under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal. Here, August 30 is the epic of liberation and heroism of the Turkish nation; He made a society rise from its ashes.”
