Conferences organized by the Center for Economic and Social Researches, attended by experts in their fields, continue without slowing down. This week's guest of the conferences, which continued with the intense interest of the citizens, was Sultan Mehmood Chaudry, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, with the title “Jammu Kashmir Conflict and Searching for a Solution”.
President Chaudhry stated that the Kashmir problem started in 1947 and that the search for a solution put forward over time failed. Stating that the Kashmiris should decide for the solution, Chaudry said, “Bilateral talks were held between Pakistan and India in 1971, but unfortunately this did not work out either. Other states were also involved in this process. Although the USA, the European Union (EU) and even Japan are involved, this problem still has not been resolved. Of course, India's strict policies have an impact.”
"INDIA'S EXECUTIONS ARE LIKE ISRAEL"
Chaudhry said: “India's strict practices have reached serious proportions. More than 18,000 Kashmiris were massacred without separating women or children,” and stated that mass graves were also discovered in the region. “Mass graves are also beginning to be discovered. These discoveries were made not only by the United Nations Human Rights Commission, but also by the Indian Human Rights Commission in 2018-2019. There are also United Nations (UN) resolutions to investigate this. 4,2 million Kashmiris are directly affected by India's informal activities. In Kashmir, India is doing something similar to what Israel did in Palestine,” Chaudhry added.
“INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY SHOULD IMPLEMENT SANCTIONS ON INDIA”
Pointing out that he will hold contacts in Europe and America after Turkey, Chaudhry emphasized that he will talk about India's activities. Stating that international community should make pressure on India, Chaudhry said, “We see that India has deployed 900,000 soldiers in Kashmir that even the total of European armies cannot reach this number. It is unacceptable to deploy such an army to put pressure on civilian formations. It is not only Kashmiris who suffer here, but minorities in India, under the Moodi administration, suffer serious difficulties. I urge the international community to impose visible sanctions on India.”
“DOORS OF NUCLEAR WAR CAN BE OPENED”
Chaudhry stated that a military conflict, a nuclear war, may start because Pakistan and India have nuclear powers, and said, “It is not possible to talk about any military solution here. The confrontation of Pakistan and India is in danger that will open the doors of nuclear war. This will not be an event that only affects South Asia, it will be a wide-ranging development that will affect the whole world.”
"I AM HERE FOR MORE SUPPORT”
Stating that Turkey came to increase its support for the Kashmir incident, Chaudhry said, “Turkey has been supporting this issue for a long time. The followers and fans of Mr. Necmettin Erbakan have always strongly supported the Kashmir event. That's why I'm here, I'm here for more of this support.”
