"Eğitim-Bir-Sen" Educators Union Adana Provincial Presidency announced that they started an aid campaign for earthquake victims in line with the requests from its members.
Within the scope of the campaign, the union members who want to support the campaign will donate the additional course fees they will receive in February to earthquake victims.
Making statements regarding the campaign, "Eğitim-Bir-Sen" Adana Provincial President Mehmet Sezer drew attention to Turkey's mobilization to heal the wounds of the earthquake.
“WE SENT 134 TRUCKS EMERGENCY MATERIALS TO EARTHQUAKE REGIONS”
Stating that they started working for the disaster area as a union from the first moment of the earthquake, Eğitim-Bir-Sen Adana Provincial President Mehmet Sezer said, "As Turkey's largest organized force, we were on the field from the first moment of the earthquake. While our Memur-Sen's search and rescue team was trying to rescue our citizens from the rubble with a superhuman effort in earthquake areas, we said 'now is the time for solidarity' and with the support of our members, with the donations collected in 70 provinces that were not affected by the earthquake, a total of 134 trucks of food, clothing, blankets, hygiene and emergency supplies were sent to the earthquake zones. we sent. We set up 550 tents. Along with many activities that I can't count yet, we tried to be with the earthquake victims in the region and our work continues."
“WE TURNED THE REQUEST INTO A CAMPAIGN”
Talking about a new campaign they started, Mehmet Sezer said, "Some of our members who reached us showed great generosity and said that they wanted to donate the additional lessons they will take in February for the benefit of earthquake victims. We, as Eğitim-Bir-Sen Adana Branch Board of Directors, took a decision at the meeting we held. We turned this request into a campaign. We invite all our teachers, especially our members of Eğitim-Bir-Sen Adana Branch, to support this campaign."
