"This on-going Palestinian struggle needs more support," Meshaal said in an exclusive interview with Turkey's TRT World on Sunday.
He added, “Yes, there is an Arab, Islamic and humanitarian interaction, but this is the moment I call on the Arab and Islamic peoples, our friends in the world who know the just struggle of our people and the legitimacy of their rights to not allow the opening of the American embassy in Jerusalem.”
"Our people, who rise up in Gaza and the West Bank, call on our Arab and Islamic nation, its people, its leaders, scientists and friends in the world to stand with us at this historic moment.”
Meshaal denounced the settlers' storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the continued siege on the Gaza Strip.
He added: "Our people and their supporters have always repeated no to occupation, no to illegal settlements, no to giving up our rights, no to the siege on Gaza or the occupation.”
Palestinians will decide their destiny
Meshaal stressed that the Palestinian people will determine their fate, not the United States, and "Israel" in reference to the decision of the US President to transfer his embassy to the city of Jerusalem, and what is rumored about the upcoming US plan to liquidate the Palestinian issue.
"The occupation and the United States of America believe with the new administration that it is the right moment to liquidate the Palestinian cause and resolve its main files, especially Jerusalem, the right of return for refugees and the annexation of Palestinian land for the future of the Zionist entity," Meshaal said.
"The Palestinian people will determine the future of the Palestinian cause and will adhere to its resistance, to its land, and its holiness without anyone interfering with our national plight and rights.”
