During his speech at the international conference, ‘Leading Ummah, Going back to Jerusalem’ held in Istanbul, Turkey, the prominent Hamas leader highlighted the overwhelming necessity to lift the 12-year siege the Israeli occupation imposes on the Gaza Strip, support the resistance, and reject normalization with the occupation without being shy or unconfident about that.
Mesha’al listed some of the possible interventions in this regards, one of which was his call to intellectuals to balance between the internal interests of their countries and the major issue of the Islamic world, which is Palestine.
The projects to liquidate the Palestinian cause are escalating and being put on the ground; the theme of all these projects is ‘Deal of the Century’; despite not being announced yet, its implementation has gone into effect, Mesha’al mentioned.
The senior Hamas leader also stated that the Palestinian people have been undergoing enormous hardships, they, however, have opted to resist the occupation and this choice would guarantee the failure of the ‘Deal of the Century’.
