White House said that Vice President Mike Pence is due to hold a telephone call with Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim later Thursday.
The call is due at midday local time (1700GMT).
On Tuesday night, President Donald Trump spoke to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a 45 minute telephone call. They discussed the situation in Syria, the refugee crisis and counter-terrorism.
