In the press release, it was pointed out that the education system is based on the West, and it was emphasized that the system should first be organized on the basis of morality and spirituality.

Chairman of the Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞ-DER), Hamdi Sürücü underlined that the Westernist education system is not a system suitable for our culture and morals.

Milli Görüş Organizations (MİLKO) made a joint press statement for the new academic year at the Cansuyu Aid and Solidarity Association Headquarters. While a call was made for the implementation of a system that prioritizes morality and spirituality in the education system, the President of the Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞ-DER) Hamd Sürücü underlined that the Westernist education system is not a system suitable for our culture and morality.

A SYSTEM PRIORITIZING MORALITY AND SPIRITUALITY INSTEAD OF A WESTERN IMITATION SYSTEM

Drawing attention to that the system applied in education is a Western imitation system, President of the Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞ-DER), Hamdi Sürücü pointed out to the need to change the system, and he said, “With the opening of schools, 19 million students and 1 million 600 thousand teachers will start education. Education and training will begin with many problems. In our present education system, it is not known what kind of person we want to be raised. The current system is a Western imitation system. In this system, our young people continue to be raised against our own culture and moral structure. For this, first of all, a new system should be implemented in accordance with the basis of morality and spirituality.”

PROFESSIONAL LAW IS NOT SOLUTION TO PROBLEMS

Pointing out that the system in practice devalues the teacher, student and parent, Sürücü stated that the Law on the Teaching Profession enlarged the problems instead of ending them, and said, “Teachers have been devalued in this system. A society has a teacher without the value cannot progress. The enacted Teaching Profession Law increases the problems of our teachers even more. Instead of ending the teachers' 60-year dream of law, this law made it 60 years longer. Expert teaching and head teacher exams should not be for financial gain.”

TEACHERS WANT APPOINTMENT

Stating that the paid teaching system in practice does more harm than good, Sürücü called for adequate appointments and said, “It seems that paid teaching, which has been a bleeding wound for years, will continue this year as well. Paid teaching, which occurs by not making a sufficient number of appointments, should be abandoned by making a sufficient number of appointments. What problem will the newly opened kindergartens and institutions solve?”

YOUTH SHOULD NOT START LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY

Reminding that Turkey is more crowded than many countries with only the number of students, Anadolu Youth Association (AGD) and National Youth Foundation (MGV) President Salih Turhan said, “It is wrong for young people to look at education with an examination focus. Our children are being turned into race horses. Our children go through a continuous examination process until almost retirement age. Our belief is to look at education centered on love. Today's education system, on the other hand, makes it possible to look at life as a job, as a profession. In education, which is considered as vocational, a young person starts his life after graduating from high school or university. This is not enough. Children's abilities are shaped after primary school. If such a system is implemented, problems can be solved. In this respect, professional orientation is very important. Education should be applied by prioritizing morality and spirituality.

“MORALITY AND SPIRITUALITY ARE A MUST CONDITION”

Expressing that educational practices centered on morality and spirituality first are important, Cansuyu Assistance and Solidarity Association Chairman Mustafa Köylü stated that the basic structures of the society can change according to the education style, and said, “The Morality and Spirituality First Flag was hung in 1969. It is always in the depths of our people's minds. If our children are not educated according to this motto, a generation will grow up that does not trust anyone and is far from sincerity. If a generation that complies with these rules If it is created, there will be trust between people. The stress that is prominent in big cities disappears. People become happy. What is called morality and spirituality are conditions that must be fulfilled.”

“SHOULD LOOK AT HOW TECHNOLOGY IS USED”

International Digital Media and Communication Association (UDM) President Fatih Gündüz, who mentioned that the new generation children should be intertwined with technology, and that parents should act accordingly, underlined that today's children are raised differently than in the past, and said, "Banning the internet is not a solution in the development of children and their adaptation to the age. The important thing is to look at how the technology will be used. In this sense, our parents should monitor children's online activities and show the results of their choices. There should be a common area for internet use."
