The regulation, which was brought to the agenda by the Milli Gazete on November 12 with the title "The regulation that victimizes special education teachers… The hunger regulation" and which prevents teachers working in special education and rehabilitation centers from working in any institution or school within 1 year after resigning from the institution, was repealed. Article 44, which prevented teachers who resigned from their institution and started to work in a new institution, which was brought to the agenda in the news of Milli Gazete on November 12, in which it dealt with the problems of teachers working in special education and rehabilitation centers, was published in the Official Gazette on February 19 and was repealed.
THANKS TO THE ARTICLE, INSTITUTIONS MADE PRESSURE ON TEACHERS
In the article 44 of the regulation titled "Regulation on Private Education Institutions of the Ministry of National Education" published in 2012, which specifically deals with the part of leaving the job, in case of resignation of the teachers working in the institutions, they almost tie their hands and arms and were doomed to starvation. While teachers commented on the article as "slavery article", the article, which was announced to be abolished on February 19, was used as a mobbing tool against teachers.
“WE THANK MİLLİ GAZETE FOR SUPPORTING OUR STRUGGLE”
Reminding that teachers working in private institutions were left unprotected and exposed to mobbing through the abolished regulation, Special Education and Rehabilitation Teachers' Association Chairman Ceyhun Bozdağ said, “Employees who resigned due to article 44/5 of the regulation of private education institutions were given a one-year inability to work. This regulation was an article that opened the door to the arbitrary practices of the corporate owners. With our determined efforts and struggle, the regulation was repealed. We would like to thank the Milli Gazete for the support given to our struggle by expressing our grievances."
