Milli Gazete is in the earthquake zone that stifled Turkey. Our correspondent Onur Şehmus Şahin is in Hatay, where the earthquake was felt heavily.

In the coming days, the Milli Gazete will convey the hot news from other cities hit by the earthquake to its readers through its correspondents.

The pain deepens, especially in Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Adıyaman, out of the 10 provinces hit by the 7.7 and 7.6 earthquakes centered on the Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş.

While there is almost no structure left to be used in Antakya, the wide area of destruction of the earthquake makes it difficult for the teams to intervene in the debris.

All markets and bakeries have been looted in Antakya, where the victims of disasters are waiting helplessly by their funerals on the streets and avenues. People who cannot reach basic necessities are waiting for help as soon as possible.

In the biggest earthquake disaster Turkey has ever seen, the balance sheet gets heavier every day. We are following the situation in Hatay, which is one of the 10 provinces hit by earthquakes of 7.7 and 7.6 in the Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş.

The earthquake, which caused serious destruction in many districts of Hatay, caused great destruction especially in Antakya. While there is almost no structure left to be used in Antakya, the wide area of destruction of the earthquake makes it difficult for the teams to intervene in the debris.

As a result of the search and rescue efforts carried out in many different parts of Antakya, many bodies under the rubble and the injured were found.

All markets and bakeries have been looted in Antakya, where the victims of disasters are waiting helplessly by their funerals on the streets and avenues. Speaking to the Milli Gazete, the survivors of Antakya talked about their urgent needs by describing the drama they experienced.

"WE STOOD IN FRONT OF DOZERS AND CONSTRUCTION MACHINES"

Rasime Özdemir, who survived the 75th year apartment completely destroyed in the earthquake.

"6 of my relatives were under the rubble in this apartment. We have been waiting in front of the wreckage for 3 days. Until the evening of the 2nd day, we could hear the voices of the people inside. But now the sound has faded. We helped 7 people get out of the wreckage, but still no team came. We stood in front of dozers and construction machines, but no one helped. We are now waiting for our bodies to be removed from the rubble," she said.

"NOT A CITY NAMED HATAY REMAINED"

Hüseyin Şaşmaz stated that 22 people, including his relatives and family, are waiting for help.

"We got rid of the wrecked buildings. But we've been sleeping on the street for 2 nights. If we can find fuel, we will go from Antakya. We have nothing to do here anymore. There is no city called Hatay. The help coming here is sufficient, but there is no point in our standing here. The state should provide fuel and vehicles to families who want to leave here," he said.

"WE WERE HEARING THEIR VOICES UNTIL YESTERDAY"

Büşra Karagündüz also said that her sister and her family were under the rubble.

"Most of the buildings on Cumhuriyet Street, which is one of the biggest streets of Hatay, were destroyed. My sister, her husband and two children are now under the rubble. They were making noise until last night. But we couldn't find anyone. My father is trying to find a team to help in front of the wreckage. But we can't take them out without construction equipment and crane. Please someone help my sister and her family now," she said.

"NO SOLID BUILDING LEFT HERE"

Ertan Emiroglu, one of the residents of Hatay, "We can still hear my friend's voice under the rubble, but there is no crew. Nobody can help. The destruction on Kemal Paşa Street is huge, but the rescue efforts are insufficient. In the center of Hatay, the biggest streets of Antakya became flat. There are no solid buildings left here. Everything is either destroyed or about to be demolished. We want to leave now. Fuel should be given to those who want to go," he said.
