While 1 ton of urea fertilizer costs 268 dollars with raw materials and other costs, it costs 855 dollars, and 1 ton of 'Can 26' fertilizer costs 130 dollars and is sold to the farmer for 485 dollars. No one sees the appalling gap between the production cost of fertilizer and its selling price.

Big hit in fertilizer!

Fertilizer production costs revealed what kind of profiteering was made on the farmer by using foreign markets as an excuse. While unqualified administrators in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry turn a blind eye to this emphasis, probably because they are not accountable, the farmers and the country's agricultural production are dealt a great hit. The production cost calculation revealed that 1 ton of Urea and 'Can 26' fertilizer produced using domestic ammonia was sold to the farmer for more than 3 times the cost. The fact that while the supermarket shelves were inspected for exorbitant prices, the fact that no precautions were taken regarding the big profiteering made by the fertilizer companies on the farmers reveals the contradiction experienced.

MİLLİ GAZETE RELEASE A GREAT HIT IN FERTILIZER

Milli Gazete revealed the big profiteering in fertilizer with its numbers. An expert, who has been working in a fertilizer factory operating in the sector for many years and is competent in his field, made the cost calculation of urea and life fertilizer for the Milli Gazete. This official, who did not want his name to be revealed, showed how the farmers were robbed in the country, using the foreign markets as an excuse.

FERTILIZER PRICES ARE 4X IN ONE YEAR

Urea fertilizer, which was 1,800 liras last year, increased to 8,000 liras, and 'Can 26' fertilizer increased from 1,100 liras to 4,500 liras. While fertilizer prices are increasing exponentially, these prices threaten the country's food production. Although the exchange rate and foreign raw material prices were cited as the justification for the hikes in fertilizers, it turned out that this was not the case.

TERRIBLE GAP BETWEEN PRODUCTION COST AND SALES PRICE

Especially when the raw material prices used in nitrogen fertilizer production were compared with the sales prices to the farmers, it was seen that there was a terrible gap between them. It is incomprehensible why the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry remain indifferent to the big emphasis on fertilizers.

WHY DON'T THE MINISTRIES NOTICE THIS HIT?

Stating that the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Ministry of Commerce can easily reach the production costs of the companies, the industry expert pointed out that it is a great contradiction that the ministries that do price research on the market shelves do not make any examinations about the production costs of fertilizers, which will negatively affect agricultural production for some reason.
