Stating that many new grievances have emerged as a result of decisions such as temporary alimony and indefinite alimony in divorce cases, Ergincan noted that the practices are open to abuse.
"These unjust and immoral laws that make even the cheating spouse pay alimony should be abolished immediately. Indefinite alimony should be the priority of all parties and these hostilities between men and women after divorce should be ended. These strange laws, which cause an increase in divorces, should be changed," he stated.
