Drugs and gambling disease, which our newspaper constantly keeps on the agenda, has reached terrible levels in our country.

The drug disease continues to drag our people into disaster. Drugs remain unused and unsold cities in Turkey. In every corner of 81 provinces, it is possible to reach young people who have fallen into the swamp of drugs and poison dealers who sell drugs.
 
In our country, where approximately 2 million people are addicted to drugs, there are approximately 5 million users. Turkey is a bridge in the drug trade, most heroin in 2019 was captured the second country. 13 MILLION CHILDREN ARE UNDEFENDED AGAINST SUBSTANCE ADDICTION

Osman Atalay said, “It is estimated that the number of drug addicts in our country is close to 2 million. It is considered that there are around 5 million users. 15.8 percent of Turkey's population in the 15-25 age group. Our 12 million 971 thousand 396 children are vulnerable to the risk of substance addiction. 60 percent of the murders, 40 percent of the attacks and 33 percent of the rapes are committed by people who use alcohol and drugs. Turkey substance abuse in general, we see that in serious and technology of virtual gambling addiction. Ankara High Council of Combating Addiction has constantly pointed out the drug and substance problem since 2015”.
 

"IN 2019, WE WERE THE SECOND COUNTRY WITH THE GREATEST HEROIN IN THE WORLD"

WE HAVE NO DRUG-FREE CITY

 
Stating that "80 percent of the drugs are obtained from street vendors and from the internet in our country," Atalay said that drug use has been detected in all 81 provinces including Istanbul, Bursa, İzmir, Ankara and Antalya. 
 
Atalay said, "Drugs with synthetic ingredients such as bonzai, cannabis, snus and skunk are frequently used in low-income regions where the culture and education levels are low. "Drugs that are considered to be stimulants such as heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy and laughing gas are used in regions with high income and cultural level."
