The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which was created to determine the interim hike to be announced for July, will hold its first meeting today, hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
Minimum Wage Determination Commission meetings are held at the “Reşat Moralı Meeting Hall” of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
The eyes of millions will be on this hall in the ministry today.
TİSK PRESIDENT MADE A STATEMENT
In the first meeting, 15 members, together with 5 members from "Türk-İş", Turkish Confederation of Employers' Unions (TİSK) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, representing the workers' side in the commission,
Taking into account the expectations of the public, the inflation figures and the expectations of the citizens living on the minimum wage, the works will be presented to the bargaining table.

TİSK President Özgür Burak Akkol, who visited Vedat Işıkhan, who was appointed as the Minister of Labor and Social Security before the meeting, said, "We have an Eid ahead of us. My personal desire, together with my organization, is to complete this process before entering the Eid period."
A RISE OF 30-40 PERCENT IS EXPECTED TO BE MADE
The minimum wage hike, announced by the government as "we made a historical hike", almost melted in the shadow of the economic crisis.
While Türk-İş, representing the trade unions, did not sign the hike made in January, it is eagerly awaited whether the parties can agree on the intermediate hike.
In this state, the minimum wage increase is 140 dollars, and when the inflation figure to be made in the next 6 months is taken into account, it is estimated that there will be an interim increase in the 30-40 percent band.
