In the discussion of the minimum wage hike, a constant salary increase signal is given from the side of the government.

According to the latest information, the Minimum Wage Determination Commission is expected to convene in the coming days, following the news that our newspaper announced for the first time that the salary increase will be reduced from the Social Security Institution premium.

At the Cabinet Meeting held yesterday, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Bilgin, who made a presentation on the minimum wage, met with the workers and employers in the Commission the previous week.

While the Ministry is considering the meeting of the Commission after the feast, the AKP staff wants the Commission to meet as soon as possible and the wage increase to be realized.

MINIMUM WAGE RAISE WILL BE GOOD NEWS FOR ELECTION

The reason for this disagreement between the Ministry and AKP staff regarding the date was the promotion of the increase in the minimum wage as election heralds.

While the Ministry is in favor of acting in accordance with the rules of the legislation, the AKP staff is planning to announce the increase rate by President Erdogan before the holiday under the title of "holiday good news".

TWO FORMULAS CONSIDERED TO INCREASE THE MINIMUM WAGE

While the government continues to evaluate the second increase in the minimum wage as a political maneuver, the figures regarding the new wages have started to become clear.

The first formula will be to add the Social Security Institution premium to the minimum wage. Social Security Institution premium of 775 TL deducted from the gross minimum wage will be reflected in the wage and the minimum wage will be increased to 5,028 TL.

The second formula is to make an increase of 10 or 20 percent in addition to the Social Security Institution premium. Accordingly, the minimum wage will be 5,453 liras with a 10% increase, and 5,878 TL with a 20% increase.
