The minimum wage expected by millions of employees was determined as 17 thousand 2 TL. After the minimum wage was determined, retirees also called for an increase.
Zeynel Abidin Ergen, Chairman of the Union of All Retirees, drew attention to the raise that will be given to retirees in January and called for a raise to be given to both retired workers and retired civil servants, without discrimination.
Drawing attention to the rates reflected to the public regarding the increase in pensions, Ergen stated that it was discussed that there would be a 37 percent increase for workers and Bağ-Kur retirees and a 50 percent increase for civil servant retirees.
"If this situation is implemented, it would be a great injustice. It is not right to discriminate between retired workers and civil servants. The raise should be given equally to everyone," Ergen said.
“NO REGULATION WILL CAUSE GREAT INJUSTICE”
Reminding that the 8 thousand 77 TL progressive raise given to civil servants in the last collective bargaining period was not given to retirees, Ergen stated that retirees should be given this right.
"Our primary demand is that the progressive raise given to civil servants be given to the base salary of retirees. After increasing the root salary, inflation and welfare shares need to be added. Our suggestion is that the lowest pension should be equal to the lowest civil servant salary. If no regulation is made, it will cause great injustice," Ergen added.
