Minister Elvan, in his statement on his Twitter account, said that the budget deficit for 2020 was realized as 172.7 billion TL, below the targeted 239.2 billion TL, and claimed that 66.5 billion TL was saved.
However, for the year 2020, the "budget deficit target" of the government, of which Minister Elvan is a member, was determined as 138.9 billion TL.
This statement of the Minister was astonished both in terms of "giving false information" and "boasting of deficit".
