Making a statement to the National Newspaper on the subject, the President of the Federation of Family Physicians Associations (AHEF), Kemal Noyan, drew attention to the insufficient technical infrastructure of family health centers for cancer screenings.
In the post shared by Minister Koca on his social account, he stated that family physicians will reach the citizens and invite them for cancer screening in order to spread cancer screenings.
Kemal Noyan, President of the Federation of Family Physicians Associations (AHEF), pointed out that the technical infrastructure of family health centers is insufficient in terms of benefiting from cancer screenings.
"Even though the doctors in the family health centers invite the citizens to the centers, we will not be able to fully benefit the citizens due to the inadequacy of the Family Health Center expense payments and infrastructure," he said.
“FAMILY PHYSICIANS ARE IN RESPONSE OF TAKING CARE OF EVERY CITIZEN WHO APPLIES”
While Minister Koca stated in his announcement that family physicians will call the citizens by phone and invite them for screening, Noyan pointed out that family physicians are responsible for dealing with every citizen who comes to visit.
"The duty of family physicians is not to inform the public, but to deal with every citizen who applies to us within our means. At the point of directing citizens to cancer screening, ways such as public service announcements should be preferred by the ministry. As family physicians, we are responsible for dealing with every citizen who applies to family health centers," he added.
