As we enter the 13th day of the attacks carried out by the occupying Israel on Gaza since October 7, the intensity of the aerial bombardments is increasing.

While the occupying regime carries out attacks by targeting schools, hospitals, mosques and refugee camps, harsh reactions continue to come from Turkey.

While condemnation messages against the attacks of the occupying Israel are coming from almost all ministers and ministry accounts, especially the Presidency, the lack of reaction of the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and the ministry draws attention.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism did not make any statement, while all segments of Turkey reacted to the attacks of the occupying Israel, which violated international law.

While almost all ministers react to the attacks of the occupying Israel, which has been continuing since October 7, Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy prefers to remain silent.

EVERYONE IS STANDING, EVERYONE IS PROTESTING

In Gaza, which has been under bombardment for days, the shortage of emergency humanitarian aid materials such as clean water, electricity, food and medicine is increasing.

Occupying Israel continues to target civilians in schools, hospitals, mosques and refugee camps.

Finally, protests were held in almost all provinces of Turkey against the occupying Israel, which bombed hospitals in Gaza.

ALL MINISTERS REACTED

On the other hand, while almost all ministers, especially President Erdogan, reacted to the massacres of the occupying Israel, it was noteworthy that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism did not make any statement or post.

Almost all ministers in the cabinet, including Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Transport Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki, reacted to the attacks of the occupying Israel in Gaza.

CULTURE AND TOURISM DID NOT SEE THE VIOLENCE

However, it was seen that the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, remained silent by not making any statement. No official statement was made not only by the minister but also by the ministry.

While it was seen that there was no condemnation or statement text on the social media accounts of the Ministry and Minister Ersoy, there was no statement reflected in the media.

It did not go unnoticed that Minister Ersoy did not make evaluations regarding the events in question in the last few public programs he attended.

It was seen that only Deputy Minister Batuhan Mumcu, from the senior management of the Ministry, reacted and condemned the hospital massacre in question on his personal social media accounts.

It did not go unnoticed that the other three deputy ministers did not make any statements.

Turkey declared 3 days of national mourning after dozens of Palestinians lost their lives as a result of the bombing of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza by the occupying Israel.

While the flags were lowered to half-mast during the 3-day mourning period, which started with the decree signed by President Erdoğan, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced that the activities were stopped.

"During the 3-day national mourning period to be declared by the Presidency due to Israel's attack on civilians in the hospital in Gaza, the activities planned by our Ministry's State Theatres, State Opera and Ballet and our General Directorate of Fine Arts have been suspended," the statement said.

Even though national mourning was declared, no message of condemnation was seen in the cancellation statement. It is wondered whether the festivals and concerts organized by the Ministry will be affected due to the national mourning decision.
