It has been 22 years since the martyrdom of Mohammad Durra, which the Ummah has not and will not forget. Mohammed Durra, brutally murdered by the Zionist Israeli regime, was martyred in his father's arms 22 years ago today. The invading Israeli soldiers shot Durra, who took shelter in his father's body in fear for 45 minutes. The father and son were hiding behind a barrel in the middle of the conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinians. In the footage of the tragic event, it was seen that Mohammed, who was hugging his father, was crying and then he was martyred as a result of the fire opened by Israeli soldiers.
CHILDREN CONTINUE TO BE MURDERED
Mohammed Durra was murdered in the Gaza Strip on September 30, 2000, on the second day of the Second Intifada, when extensive rebellions took place across Palestine. While Muhammed Durra's small body, fluttering as he took his last breath, continued to preserve its place in the minds, many children continue to be brutally murdered by Zionist Israeli soldiers after Durra.
MOHAMMAD DURRA WOULD BE 34 IF HE LIVED
The Second Intifada started in Jerusalem when the then prime minister of the Zionist Israeli regime, Ariel Sharon, raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque on September 28, 2000. Sharon's words, ‘This will always be an Israeli territory’, as he toured the courtyard of the Masjid al-Aqsa, aroused the Palestinians, and 7 Palestinians were martyred and 250 Palestinians were injured in the clashes that broke out with the occupying Israeli forces that day. In the clashes, 13 soldiers of Zionist Israel were wounded.
SYMBOL NAME OF THE RESISTANCE
These conflicts, called the ‘Second Intifada’, first started in Jerusalem and then spread to the West Bank and Gaza. Mohammad Durra was one of the symbols of the Second Intifada, when Sharon, the then prime minister of the Zionist Israeli regime, put pressure on the Masjid al-Aqsa and started on this event. Mohammed Durra, one of the symbols of the Palestinian resistance, was martyred at the age of 12 as a result of the fire opened by the Zionist Israeli forces. Mohammed Durra, who died in the arms of his father, Jamal Durra, would have been 34 years old if he had lived.
