THE MOST ACCIDENTS ARE IN AUGUST, THE LEAST ACCIDENTS ARE IN FEBRUARY
Last year, the month in which the highest number of fatal and injured accidents occurred in Turkey was August, with a rate of 10 percent. The fewest accidents occurred in February with 5.8 percent.
When looked at by day of the week, it was seen that the most fatal and injured accidents occurred on Friday with 15.2 percent and the least on Sunday with 13.6 percent.
Of the 197 thousand 261 fatal and injury accidents that occurred in our country's highway network in 2022, 66.9 percent occurred during the day, 30.6 percent at night and 2.5 percent at dusk.
THE CHANCE OF SURVIVAL IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENTS IS 10 PERCENT
While the chance of a person surviving an accident in a car is 50 percent, the chance of surviving a motor accident is 10 percent.
