In our country, especially in the last year, there has been a lot of discussion about the inflation figures announced by TURKSTAT, due to the continuous increase in inflation and the inflationary environment in which the country's economy is dragged into.

In addition to being an important macro indicator, the inflation figures announced by TURKSTAT are subject to intense criticism, as they are of great importance in terms of increases to be made in the wages of employees.

The fact that there is a numerical gap between the inflation figures announced by TURKSTAT, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and the inflation research group ENAG inflames the discussions even more. While discussions on inflation continued throughout the year, the revaluation rate for taxes, fees and penalties for 2023 was announced as 122.9% in November.

In our opinion, determining the revaluation rate as 122.9% at a time when the October inflation rate was announced as 85.51% by TURKSTAT can have two meanings.

First of all, these revaluation rate figures can be interpreted as an indicator that the economy management does not trust the figures announced by TURKSTAT, and that it has an opinion that the real inflation figures are higher than the ones announced.

Secondly, considering that the expectations of the economy administration for the coming year are much worse, it may indicate its intention to make the citizens pay the painful bill that will occur in the economy for the next year.

It is not known whether one of these interpretations or both is correct, but what is certain is that the burden to be placed on our shoulders as citizens next year will be multiplied.

I wanted to go out of the ordinary and write something about football. As you know, Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup has started. Hosting cup matches, Qatar, as a Muslim country, has laid out a set of rules that the spectators and teams must follow in line with the beliefs of its people.

One of these rules was about the use of captain's armbands, which are used to support perversions such as LGBT, which is one of the biggest corruption tools of global corruption gangs, and other tools to support deviants. This decision was heavily criticized by some segments, especially the national team players of Western countries.

This situation actually gives us a message as Muslims. Those who seek to corrupt the earth use every means and means to spread perversions. Whether we like it or not, whether we accept it or not, football has become an effective communication tool in our age to reach people.

Unfortunately, one of the most common propaganda areas of perversions, which are becoming more and more widespread all over the world, is football matches. As Muslims, we should see every area that we leave empty as a position left to the mufsids and increase our effectiveness in all areas by using every tool that is legitimate and not strictly prohibited by nas. Theater, cinema, football etc. areas stand in front of you as areas where we need to increase our visibility and be active for the purpose of correction against corruption.

This process has also shown us once again the hypocrisy of Western perception. At the World Cup, the West once again demonstrated its stance that favors freedom in matters that are in line with its own interests and understanding, and does not allow freedom in matters that do not suit its interests.

For example, Germany national team players made a protest about the banning of propaganda of heresies in the first match of the World Cup for them. This was, above all, an indication of intolerance and disrespect towards the faith of the people of the country where the matches were held.

Secondly, this situation is also an indication of the sassiness of the Western mentality to not tolerate that the right to judge and set boundaries is someone else's. German football players who see the ban as a limitation of freedom of expression and protest, for example, the denial of the Holocaust in their own country, etc. Can they protest bans? Of course no.

In summary, the West has never been civilized, as the Wise King Aliya Izetbegovic famously stated. They proved this once again by not respecting the rules determined in line with the beliefs of a Muslim country at the World Cup...
