When we say comfort, the first thing that may come to our mind is a material equivalent. The simple definition also shows this. In this sense, comfort; It means financial comfort that makes daily life easier. Of course, the content of our article does not meet what is meant in this definition. Let us state that the equivalent of comfort in this article is a conceptualization to explain how those who need to be included in life today position themselves as spectators outside of life.

There is discontent in everyone's mind and language, both in terms of our country and on a global scale. The will to eliminate this situation is constantly being voiced. But we cannot see the will on how this work should be done, both intellectually and practically.

We can only explain this paradox with the constructed comfort zones. We call comfort zones; because we can talk about the types of these areas such as ideological comfort, mental comfort and operational comfort. The area we call ideological comfort is formed by the absolute acceptance of the data presented by a certain ideology.

The ideological laziness that occurs in this absoluteness closes people to different perspectives. The solution for a person who cannot go beyond the limits determined by that ideology consists of what that ideology offers. As this directs its members not to production but to consumption, a comfortable space is built.

The mental comfort zone is actually the equivalent of laziness in thought. Constantly putting issues on the agenda and developing discourse on these issues is the easy part. The difficult part is to come up with solutions and suggestions that can overcome these problems. Of course, we need to use our minds more actively for this.

The way to do this is through reading, writing, researching and ultimately having a scientific knowledge. All of these are the harbingers of trouble. That's why those who can't afford to go through this trouble and don't want to leave their mental comfort zone focus on the problem, not the solution.

Finally, the comfort zone that we should mention is the operational comfort zone. Diagnosis of problems is important, but as we said at the beginning, it is not sufficient for solution. Creating a solution is even more important, but there is no reward unless it takes action. Action laziness prefers to expect action from others. It is inevitable that we will carry this laziness on ourselves as long as we say they should do it instead of saying we should.

We cannot confine this comfort zone to merely expecting action from others. From the time and place that will put our mental production into action, we can put it here to direct the action to other places or other times. When we say operational comfort zone, we should think not to be the subject of real action, to direct the solutions to the future, and to be sensitive to the problems of other places by ignoring the problem next to it.

Being aware of others, being sensitive to other problems is a responsibility of our being human. Every responsibility brings with it hardship. Those who accept this responsibility are expected to take this trouble, and it has been. On the other hand, those who do not want to carry the psychological burden of this responsibility preferred to build comfort areas for themselves.
