University students from the Anatolian Youth Association (AGD) came together in Beyazıt Square of Istanbul and made an important press statement. Anadolu Youth Association Istanbul University Beyazıt Campus organization, which carried out a meaningful action in Beyazıt Square, reacted to the New Year's celebrations and the gambling activity named as the National Lottery (Milli Piyango).
“O MUSLIM! RETURN BACK TO YOUR ESSENCE”
The university students, who made a statement on the theme "Islamic geography is in the war of life, the mind of the Muslim is at the beginning of the new year", drew attention to the persecutions in the Islamic geography. In the statement mentioned, “As Anatolian Youth Association Istanbul University students, we say: O my Muslim brothers, you cannot celebrate New Year's Eve while there is a struggle for life in Islamic lands. You cannot have fun while Muslims are imprisoned in dungeons in East Turkestan, while bombs are raining down on our brothers in Palestine, Kashmir and other Islamic geographies. Here we call again: O Muslim! Get back to yourself,” the statement said.
“WE HAVE EVER DREW A LESSON?”
In the statement they made, the students, who were members of the AGD, reminded the 90th verse of the Surah Maide. Calling out to Muslims, “Or have we not taken a lesson from the many deaths we have caused due to the pandemic recently, and the devastation of the Islamic geography? In the 90th Verse of Maide Surah, which is read at the beginning of our explanation, it is stated that ‘O you who believe! Alcohol, gambling, obelisks, and fortune-telling arrows are but devilish filth’. Knowing the verse 'Escape from them so that you may attain salvation', and knowing that it is Allah who provides the food, you cannot follow Nimet Abla's queue," the young people added.
UYGHUR TURKS ALSO PARTICIPATED
Uyghur Turks also participated in the press release organized by the Anatolian Youth Association Istanbul University Beyazıt Campus Organization. The Uyghurs, carrying banners expressing their oppression, demanded that Muslims lend a helping hand to them.
