Speaking at the Press Workers' Meeting, Saadet Party General Administrative Board (GİK) member Mustafa İriş said, “As the media and especially journalists continue to be the voice of the silent majority, our democracy will continue to strengthen. Our concern is to establish a fair order in this country.”
Saadet Party Edirne Provincial Presidency held a 'Press Workers' Meeting' the other day. In the meeting, which was attended by members of the Saadet Party Edirne Provincial Board of Directors as well as Saadet Party GIK Member Mustafa İriş and Saadet Party Edirne Provincial President Atty. Sinan Tekin, the situation of the media in Turkey was discussed. Addressing the members of the press at the meeting, Mustafa İriş emphasized the importance of media studies.
“SOMETHING MAY BE LEGAL, BUT IT IS NOT HALAL AND FERTILE”
Emphasizing the power of the media in his speech at the 'Meeting of Press Workers', Vice Chairman of the Saadet Party Mustafa İriş said, “How great is the media that reflects Turkey's cultural richness. If it is effective and widespread, and the stronger its voice, the stronger our democracy will be. However, the demands and expectations of our nation will be reflected to the government and the state to that extent. Therefore, as long as the media and especially journalists continue to be the voice of the silent majority with you, our democracy will continue to strengthen. Our concern is to establish a fair order in this country. Let people have the opportunity to live humanely. Something may be legal but not halal and fertile! We want it to be legal, halal and fertile. This is not possible with the current management style.”

Saadet Party Edirne Provincial President Atty. Sinan Tekin in his speech at the meeting, drew attention to the role of the press and said, “The press acts as a bridge between the public and the administrators. The press plays a very important role in ensuring that politicians can be audited. In this respect, all press workers are encouraged to support this valuable profession in its execution. It is a stance worthy of their profession to carry out their duties in the most objective manner by approaching the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms, the privacy of private life and the universal principles of law, principled journalism, regardless of any interest. All of our press employees who work with these sensitivities deserve the greatest appreciation.”
