Recent developments in Afghanistan continue to set the agenda in the United States. President Joe Biden has lost significant public support on the grounds that he failed to properly manage the process of expulsion of American citizens and US employees from Afghanistan. Although a Peace Agreement was signed with the Taliban in Doha, the capital of Qatar, in February 2020, during the period of former President Donald Trump, the entire burden of the negativities of the process fell on Biden. As it is known, as a result of the revision of the calendar determined in this agreement, American soldiers left Afghanistan. Biden, on the other hand, tried to defend himself by saying that another withdrawal model was not possible despite the difficulties experienced. The current debates and statements in America show that if there were an election today, Trump would probably be re-elected.

On the other hand, as in the case of Afghanistan, the US is aware that the global power/gendarme role it has set for itself has suffered greatly. He had to withdraw before he could complete the invasion attempt he had been carrying on for 20 years, that is, before he could build a management model he wanted.

In the popular saying, the sun sandal squeezed, and the sandal squeezed the foot. Neither the goal of encircling China nor the thought of controlling Russia was enough to stay in Afghanistan. He made a choice between the money he spent, the soldiers he lost, and these global goals, and he saw that he had no choice but to withdraw. History repeated itself and the geography of Afghanistan did to the Americans today what it did to Alexander, the British, and the Russians yesterday.

It should be clearly known that from now on, the geography of Afghanistan will be one of the main working areas of the intelligence organization CIA, not the Pentagon, the Ministry of Defense. The Biden administration will try to regain the loss of reputation in Afghanistan through the CIA. We will see how this will be possible in time, but all this will not change the fact that the USA had to leave Afghanistan without looking back. Meanwhile, America continues to have the potential to make different exits in the name of a show of power. While these are happening in Afghanistan, the USA can do something that will make itself felt in a different geography, for example, in Syria. In this sense, the main focus should be on Syria. Now, first and foremost, Turkey should focus more on America's footprints in Syria.

However, the biggest threat to Afghanistan now is terrorist organizations, which are useful instruments of proxy wars. Narrowing the range of action of these organizations also depends on the steps to be taken by the Taliban. Establishing a broad-based government, including representatives of different groups in the new government, reading social demands correctly and doing what is necessary will weaken the influence of these organizations. Afghan people are a people who have been shattered by occupation, violence, terror, oppression and economic difficulties for decades. Despite everything, despite all the negativities, the end of the occupation should be evaluated correctly by Afghanistan. Wounds should be bandaged. The blood feuds must end. All these years have not brought anyone to the fore, including the Taliban. America may have various expectations from the Taliban, but the main credit was given to the Taliban by the Afghan people. The Taliban should read the current situation correctly and be able to communicate with the entire Afghan people. Otherwise, what happened in 2001 can happen again in Afghanistan with different dimensions. This means the full registration of the vicious circle. It is necessary to stop being a country where global powers play horses as soon as possible. During the US occupation, it was not the Afghan people that were the problem, this became clearer with its exit. At the same time, the Afghan people will not be the problem of China and Russia. The new administration must develop a coherent relationship with each of them, putting the Afghan people first. In addition, the experiences of Pakistan and Turkey can provide important contributions for Afghanistan.

As a result, it is said that wherever the loss is returned, it is a profit. Now, this word should be a road map for Afghanistan, and practices and policies that highlight and support the Afghan national identity, not that ethnic affiliations are decisive, should be implemented as soon as possible.
