Two astronomers discover that a comet will soon hit the earth. They even claim that this comet would cause much greater destruction than the comet, which crashed into the earth during the dinosaurs' times and led to their extinction. Of course, the President of the United States of America should be informed of such a discovery. Based on the fact that the understanding that every disaster is actually caused by politicians who do not value the opinions of scientists is now generally accepted, their words are not respected as expected. Since politicians always have priorities in elections, economic decisions, foreign relations or many other political decisions, a danger threatening humanity or their own society will always be secondary to them. In this case, scientists and opinion leaders who feel responsible will try to inform the public through the media. This time, their knowledge of their media performances, expression styles and inadequacies will be discredited. In fact, investigations and prosecutions will be initiated against them, perhaps because of damaging the reputation of the state by serving the information that may pose a threat to the security of the state to the media.

The next stage will pave the way for these scientists to gradually soften their criticisms and even become "advisors on scientific issues" by getting in the eyes of the administrators. From now on, the presidents will have members who will make scientific propaganda and fend off criticism from the scientific world. For example, in such a situation, what should be done scientifically in the face of a disaster that could destroy not only the power at work but also the whole world? If it is determined, for example, that the comet that will hit the world is made of very precious metals, that they can be used in the production of smart phones and that it will provide an incredible income to the country, while it is being dragged into a disaster, should the necessary measures be taken and financial gain should be emphasized instead of the fact that the gross national product (GNP) will increase?

That is, even in the face of such a serious danger threatening humanity, should the capitalist order be allowed to protect itself under all circumstances? If the comet is broken into small pieces with the least damage to the world, wouldn't it be in everyone's favor to bring the metals to be obtained from it, for example, to the national economy by establishing a partnership with one of the billionaire investors in Silicon Valley?

Today, a movie called "Don't Look Up" has been released on a digital platform. I would like to make some evaluations based on this film, which is a socio-political comedy that criticizes a political mentality that says, "Don't look up" to its people, trust us, because we are taking all the necessary precautions for you.

First of all, the politicization of what is called "science" and especially the idea of "rewriting the book" is one of the biggest natural disasters in itself. Creating a disconnected public opinion from reality through social media phenomena such as look down, look up, look down, look up, or by means of trolls has become a situation that we have come across most recently and I'm afraid we have begun to take for granted.

The truth is disappearing like soap bubbles before our eyes in a planned way, with the discussion programs that are constantly being interrupted in the media. Now people have lost the nakedness of the truth and are distracted with the scraps imposed on them. So to speak, in the atmosphere of a blind fight, everyone flounders the truth that they defend, or rather, they think they are defending, by shouting loudly at the other side. The search for truth has also begun to lose its meaning.

While time is lost between artificial agendas, the real disaster that is approaching is always ignored. The term “post-truth”, which we have often heard lately, can perhaps be translated as “beyond the truth”. But the main issue here is whether the "truth" really exists today, and if it does, how to go "beyond" it. When man was sent to this world, he was taught "names". But the essential meanings of these "names" are under attack today and are being detached from reality through the manipulation of politics and the media. Facts gradually lose their original meaning and are discredited by losing value in an intolerable way.

In other words, no one denies the existence of a truth, but since this truth is devalued, it is not respected. The fact that even the title of the movie we are talking about is "Don't Look Up" is an indication that the reality construction shown to us is imposed and imposed from above and that the people on the street cannot protect themselves from artificial agendas no matter how hard they try. After all, there is a truth that "the country has been dragged into a disaster", but when the dust sets in with many enemy categories such as foreign powers, globalists and local collaborators, many "famous" people who are social media phenomena prevent the realization of the truth. In our opinion, the real disaster is that the number of people who can't see even though they have eyes and can't hear even though they have ears is increasing day by day.

In the end, everything will pass, the truth will rebuild itself, but the good and bad traces we humans leave in this world will be permanent. That is why a person who believes that every deed he does and every decision he takes will one day be shown to him and he will give an account, will not manipulate for the world for three days. People don't cheat. It does not cover the facts. He doesn't lie. It will not be unfair. Does not think based on self-interest. Saving the day does not count as success. He has a problem of defending the truth in politics, commerce and all areas of social life, "holding and removing the right".
