Politics in Turkey is going through a difficult period. It is such a dangerous turn that every time an event breaks out, hearts come to the fore for the country and the nation. In fact, in such times, the political institution should be the thing that citizens can rely on with confidence, and the hope that the solution of each issue can be found on legitimate grounds should surround all people.
The truth everyone knows is this; In countries where politics is strong with its institutions and rules, the struggle with problems walks on a more correct ground and people's view of management can progress in a healthier way.
Today, unfortunately, there are conceptual confusions in Turkey and the understanding of crisis management has started to dominate with the logic of reflecting, obscuring and preempting things differently with manipulative approaches. If this process cannot be managed successfully, everything will go into a vicious circle after a while and problems will continue to increase exponentially.
On the other hand, in a country where the relations between politicians, journalists, businessmen and criminal organizations are questioned and there is an increasing belief that they are intertwined, the possibility of citizens to make long-term future plans in that country begins to disappear. Where there is no trust, there is no grounded plan. If a Minister of Interior makes allegations that a politician receives a large monthly salary from a structure that is claimed to be a criminal organization, and then proceeds on his way as if nothing had happened, the victim of this process will be the political institution itself.
Today, unfortunately, the phrase “time heals everything” has turned into a shelter for those who are exposed to allegations of corruption and irregularity. According to them, seeing time as a medicine means that everyone forgets everything in time. Agendas are glossed over with the logic that we will get profit Look, if the messages "if I talk, the ground will move" have increased, it means that the stones have already started to move from their place. This point clearly reveals a turning point from which it is very difficult to turn back. First of all, the government should take bold steps, and no matter who goes, they should pursue the allegations of corruption. If the AK Party falls into the opposition and wants to keep its claim to come back to power alive, those who made mistakes, if any, should take the risk of coming to terms with them and confronting what is happening. Otherwise, the fall of the AK Party from power will be synonymous with locking the party's door.
In addition, such long periods of power can sometimes bring about taking steps as if the power will never change, and ultimately abuses, in order not to get caught up in small details. The government should narrow these areas and pave the way for those who claim against them to be tried in a fair way without any personal confrontation. If there is injustice, it should ensure that their law is protected and they are cleared.
On the other hand, especially with the Presidential Government System, unfortunately, many bureaucrats have not hesitated to act as officials of the government, not the state. Recently, along with the debates that occupy the agenda, we have been witnessing some governors, district governors or bureaucrats saying, "We are dependent on the political will, but we are officials of the state". It is sad that they have come to this point with their experiences, but it is important that they reach this conclusion in the balance of advice and misfortune. Everyone should remember this fact once again; governments are temporary. The party-state relationship should be removed from being a field of abuse.
As a result, it is none other than a political institution that will protect and develop a country materially and morally. First of all, politicians must believe in this wholeheartedly and must show the necessary sensitivity to protect the honor of politics. The real problem of survival would be to trample the reputation of the political establishment in this country. Everyone's responsibility should be to prevent further corruption of politics and politicians, and to give this society the feeling that overcoming all difficulties is only possible with politics.
