Many new disciplines and approaches have emerged in social sciences in the last century. Many sub-research areas such as international law, theories of democracy, studies of racism, colonialism even postcolonial studies, orientalism and cultural relativism have been studied almost entirely in the West and by Westerners. The rest of the world also tried to learn and teach them at their schools and universities, even though these theories and fields of study were done directly on them, that is, they were the subject of their research. Perhaps the most important of these theories is the work of Orientalism-Orientalism by a Palestinian-American English professor named Edward Said. This work has even been recognized as a turning point in social sciences, and there is even a distinction between "pre-Said" and "post-Said", from black studies to women's studies, to racism studies. It is possible to find frequent citations in almost every field of research.
On the other hand, if Westerners have even determined the theory and field of work on issues such as inequality, democracy and human rights, then why do they not interfere with inequalities in the world? Well, if they are experts in the business and at least know the theory and even its application best, why are they so silent in the face of negativity? Are the "Western white people" so unscrupulous and so insensitive to events taking place before their eyes?
Though they have always presented themselves as civilized. They prepared all of their literature by focusing on their own interests. According to them, the "other" always needed education. Others were immature "savages". They had a "lofty" duty of training and educating them. However, besides this kind of counselor look, especially II. Jewish scientists (such as E. Durkheim, M. Mauss and C. Levi-Strausse), who could not bear the injustices suffered by the Jews during the World War, started to speak out against the persecution they were subjected to with an outlook such as "We are not much different from you". In fact, H. Arendt, who followed the courts of Nazi criminal A. Eichmann and worked as a reporter for the newspaper he worked for, presented a magnificent concept such as "the banality of evil" to social sciences.
However, when the issue was the establishment of Israel and the injustices and persecution of the Palestinians who owned those lands, it was as if the whole world, including the Jews themselves, fell into silence. Perhaps biased media organizations were constantly blocking the voices of those who did not remain silent to the persecution. In addition, the fact that Israel hit the building of international media organizations in Gaza in the recent attacks despite the broad media support is enough to understand what happened on its own. In such a situation, the question is actually very clear; do the victims and the righteous prevent the reporting? Wouldn't an oppressed person want the truth to be accurately reflected to the whole world, especially by supporting the press?
In the last process, these events showed that the silence could not last longer. Israel's atrocities were so obvious that even the biased ones could not manipulate them. As a matter of fact, it was the last straw that Israel continued its injustices in the Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood in the last months of the month of Ramadan in the Masjid al-Aqsa. Voices began to rise from all corners of the world, from all religious and ethnic groups. In the capitals and cities of Western countries, more than hundreds of thousands of people from all walks of life took an honorable stance against Israel’s oppression and attacks. All over the world, people filled the streets and squares for Palestine. The walls of fear are breaking through now. We are going through the days when provocations and manipulations are deciphered. It is not possible for the administrations to resist this reaction of the people for a long time. Here is a critical period for Palestine; Israel’s goal from now on will be to deepen the differences of opinion between Palestinian groups. The results obtained from the Afghanistan laboratory will be desired to be applied here as well. Everyone should be vigilant and not fall into these traps.
As a result, with this high awareness in the world, it is not so far for Zionism to take a step back in the face of reactions and to be defeated in an irreversible way. A new era is beginning in the Middle East. If we remember the saying that "every new thing may not be good", making this new good new can be possible by expanding the conscience alliance.
