A name familiar to those who read the books of the fictional hero Harry Potter (J. K. Rowling) and then watch the movies produced from those books was subjected to a lynching, examples of which we often see on social media platforms, in the past few weeks. Emma Watson, known for her Harry Potter movies, showed her solidarity with the Palestinian people by re-sharing a post previously published from the account of the group (BadActivistCollective), which brought together activists on a global scale, on her Instagram account, which can reach a wide audience with 64 million followers.

The caption on the photo of the group carrying out a freedom protest for Palestine, which gave the impression that it was written from letters cut from newspaper headlines, contained the phrase "Solidarity is an action". Of course, the first meaning that came to mind of such a sentence was that the problems of Palestine had been talked about by almost everyone for years, but no concrete results could be obtained. This emphasis was to show active solidarity with millions of Palestinians who have been deprived of their fundamental rights, which are an inseparable part of being human, in Gaza, which has turned into an open-air prison, and in the West Bank, reminding once again that everyone has a human responsibility regardless of their religion, language, creed, race or creed. . But even making such a humanitarian wish was enough to disturb the current Israeli regime. Danny Dannon, the head of World Likud, who was the former permanent representative of Israel to the United Nations, and directed the work of the right-wing Likud Party in different parts of the world, quoted Emma Watson's post on his Twitter account and accused him of being anti-Semitic, that is, anti-Semitic and said, “(imaginary) 10 points to Emma Watson for being anti-Semitic from Gryfinndor College.” Of course, this sarcastic post was met with a reaction from social media users with common sense.

While these discussions were going on, names including 40 world-renowned Hollywood stars made a statement of support for Watson on weekdays.

At the center of the statement was the emphasis, "If you are neutral in the face of injustice, you have chosen your side".

It is impossible for a normal mind to understand how this phrase, which expresses a desire for active solidarity with the Palestinian people, means anti-Semitism. But another social media account (JewishLiberation) made a statement that normal minds would never understand:

The colors of the Palestinian flag symbolized the states of the Umayyads (661-750) and Fatimids (909-1171) from the time of our Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), who ruled in various periods of Islamic history, with black-white-green colors from the first period Kharijites and later Andalusia to the modern Saudi Arabian administration. It has been claimed that the red flag used until today represents Islam as a whole.

But the text that made up this post itself consisted of a mind-blowing claim: “The facts. The Palestinian flag represents the Arab and Islamic empires that colonized West Asia and North Africa, which also massacred, humiliated and humiliated the Jews. So if you support this flag, you hate the Jews.” One really does not know how to respond to such a claim. They were able to say this even though it was the Ottoman Empire, an Islamic country that embraced them when they were expelled from Spain, which can be considered a part of the geography they meant in 1492. Who massacred the Jews? What kind of an explanation is this, it is not possible for the mind to take this expression.

Of course, the criticism and accusations made against Emma Watson are not at a level to push the limits of the mind. Criticisms of the actor are that he has not been involved in any project for a long time and he resorted to such a path because he wanted to attract attention. How possible it is to take part in a big project by protecting the Palestinians is another question mark.

The main point to focus on here is: Even drawing attention to the hard-to-bearing conditions faced by two million Palestinian people due to the long cut-off of foreign aid makes Israel uncomfortable. The killing of people, especially women and children, in front of the world, with unacceptable excuses, has now become a common occurrence. With the decrease in the reactions of the world public opinion, the cases of murders, unjust and unlawful prison sentences, confiscation of Palestinian homes, and new housing projects for settlers are increasing.

The cries and cries of these people are ignored, and the persecution of them is manipulated. The Palestinians, whose access to food, medicine and water, which are their most basic needs, is severely restricted, cannot make their voices heard, but outside voices that try to share their suffering are also blocked in some way.

The oppression and cruelty policies implemented by Israel are definitely a common issue of law, justice and humanity. While political decisions and policies can be criticized all over the world, Israel is favored in this regard for some reason. It must now be accepted by Israelis that Judaism and Israel are not one and the same thing. Criticizing a practice by Israel certainly does not mean criticizing the Jewish faith or nation. Because the two cases are different things. Again, any criticism that can be brought against Israel should never be perceived as an attack on Jews because of their beliefs. Attacking a belief is first and foremost against the essence of Islamic belief. The verse "Your religion is for you, my religion is for me" is one of the clearest proofs of this. The concept of anti-Semitism must be redefined over and over, and Israel's practices concerning international law must be separated from the issues of religion and sanctuary. In the meantime, it should not be forgotten that Rachel Corrie, who sacrificed her life for the struggle to prevent the atrocities suffered by the Palestinians, is also a Jew. On March 16, 2003, he appeared in front of Israeli bulldozers with a megaphone to prevent the demolition of a Palestinian family's house in Rafah. They'd stop, she thought. However, the bulldozer and demolition vehicles passed over his body. They murdered him. Rachel continues to preserve her place in our hearts indelibly today as "Palestine's Daughter". In other words, anti-Semitism is a hate crime, but being an anti-Zionist is the responsibility of anyone who wants peace and tranquility, as is the case with religious Jews around the world.

Finally, it should be noted that; The deletion of the posts of world-famous singers and actors such as Emma Watson that supported the rights of the Palestinian people, by these platforms, was now considered normal by most people. We hope that this last post will not be deleted and it will contribute to making the voice of the Palestinians heard all over the world.
