While the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry clung to imports to overcome the meat crisis experienced as a result of the wrong policies applied in animal husbandry, the fact that the livestock and carcass meat import contracts made with the companies were not made transparently brought up the questioning of the imports.

The documents that emerged regarding the import of 500 tons of carcass meat imported from Poland, on the other hand, revealed the mystery of the imports made by the ESK.

THE RANT REVEALED IN MEAT IMPORTS!

While the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry imports live animals and meat through the Meat and Milk Authority (ESK), it is noteworthy that no information is given to the public about these imports.

While the Meat and Dairy Authority makes all contracts with the companies abroad, the contracts made are made without a tender, by the method of direct procurement from the producer.

The fact that the contracts are not made in a transparent way, and what kind of an advantage is passed to whom in the imports is not known.

ALL CONTRACTS FOR IMPORT ARE KEPT SECRET FROM THE PUBLIC!

The Meat and Dairy Authority signed a contract with companies for the import of 7,500 livestock, including 4 thousand from Uruguay, 2,500 from Hungary and a thousand from Romania. In addition, contracts were signed for the import of 500 tons of carcass meat from Poland and a thousand tons of boneless meat from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

WHEN THERE IS AN OFFER FROM 5.45 EURO, THE CONTRACT SIGNED AT 5.60 EURO

The documents that emerged regarding the 500 tons of carcass meat to be imported from Poland revealed who and how they are protected in meat imports.

While a contract was signed for 500 tons of boneless meat to be imported from Poland with the company, whose name was hidden from the public, for 5,60 Euros, it turned out that another company offered 5,45 Euros to the ESK.

The fact that the ESK signed a contract with another company for 5,60 Euros, without ever meeting with the company that made a bid at 5.45 Euros for carcass meat imports from Poland, brought up the questioning of the imports already made.

While it was seen that the company named "Mavi Group" made an offer to the Meat and Dairy Authority for the import of carcass meat from Poland at 5,45 Euros, the ESK did not negotiate with this company and signed a contract with another company for 5,60 Euros.

The fact that the contracts are not made in a transparent manner and that no information is given to the public about the imports to be made has brought up the question of "who receives what kind of rent?" in live animal and meat imports.
