Ağbaba met with the provincial heads of Table of Six in the container city established by the Güzelbahçe Municipality in Malatya.

Speaking here, Ağbaba wished that the month of Ramadan would be instrumental in healing the wounds of the earthquake.

Ağbaba stated that the leaders of Table of Six, Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş will visit Malatya today, and that within the scope of the program, a mawlid will be held for those who lost their lives in the earthquakes in the city, and then an iftar will be given.

"This program is an important one both for Malatya and for the alliance. It will be the first time that our six leaders and two vice presidents will be together on the same program. He will also be in Malatya," Ağbaba said.

“We are among the provinces with the most buildings destroyed”

Emphasizing that Malatya was seriously damaged in the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, Ağbaba said, "In fact, when we look at the number of dead, yes, but when we look at the rate of destruction, we are at the top of the provinces with the most buildings destroyed. 71 percent of the building stock in the center of Malatya is heavily damaged and demolished. The city center is gone. Ören town of our Akçadağ district and some of our villages have been destroyed. Our Doğanşehir district has been destroyed. We do not have a Polat town, Erkenek, Kurucaova town. Unfortunately, many villages of Doğanşehir have been destroyed. Unfortunately, Malatya seems to have been slightly damaged in the earthquake. Unfortunately, this is how it appears in the state, and this is how it appears in the institutions of the state. There are no tradesmen left in Malatya. We want the whole public to know that Malatya is in ruins. Today, our general presidents will make a statement on this subject."
