Reactions continue to come from business owners regarding the decision of the 10th Chamber of the Council of State regarding hairdressers and beauty centers to remove epilation devices from use. Stating that nearly 100 thousand halls will be closed with the decision taken, the business owners warned that 400,000 employees will face the danger of unemployment. The use of some devices such as photo epilation in beauty salons caused discussions between beauticians, dermatologists and aesthetic surgeons, and with the growth of the industry, the debates got even more heated and moved to the judiciary. The Turkish Society of Dermatology and the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, which were parties to the debate, applied to the Council of State to cancel the regulation allowing the use of these devices in beauty salons.
CALL FOR REGULATION IS MADE
At the end of the lawsuit, which lasted about five years, the Council of State decided to cancel the regulation that approved the use of the devices in question in beauty salons. After this decision, there was a great reaction from the beauty salon operators. Stating that the right to use the device is a right granted to them by President Erdoğan, the owners of the business noted that with the decision taken, both themselves and the employees and hundreds of thousands of citizens traded in these halls will experience great grievances and called for a new regulation on the subject.
