On the bombings targeted at civilian citizens by groups that want to design our country in Taksim, Ankara Train Station, Kızılay, Suruç and at different points, Saadet Party General Administrative Board (GİK) Member Assoc. Dr. Necmettin Caliskan made evaluations. Stating that the Istiklal Street explosion was an attack that nullified the measures taken across the country, GIK Member Çalışkan said, “At a time when security controls we are accustomed to in daily life are normalized, we live a completely police life, MOBESE cameras, advanced technical devices and state-of-the-art search tools are available; it is not possible to understand how the explosion occurred. The horror and the immediate capture of the terrorist brought hundreds of questions in people's minds. It has been understood once again that security measures should be taken at the borders, not in the heart of the city.”
“NO MANAGEMENT WITH VALOUR”
Saadet Party GİK Member Çalışkan said: “There are so many terrorists in the country. It has been revealed that confident statements such as ‘Everything is under our control, we know everything from the shoe size of terrorists’ to nothing more than valour. When all these are put on top of each other, we know that domestic and foreign policy needs to be reconsidered in order to ensure the security of the country. It is essential to protect the law, to stay away from illegal actions, to take vital measures considering that Turkey is on a migration route, to establish peace.”
“TERROR IS NOT SO SIMPLE TO MAKE DOMESTIC POLICY MATERIAL”
Associate Dr. Necmettin Çalışkan also touched upon some of the statements made after the explosion. Caliskan said, “Terrorism is not so simple as to be used as a domestic policy material. It should be explained what is meant by an expression such as ‘we have received the message’. It should be seen that one cannot get anywhere with the effort to turn the situation into an opportunity, wordsmanship and threats. Much more so that this pain does not recur; It is extremely important to be careful and to set aside internal conflicts and to produce healthy solutions instead of brawl. Every soul that passes away takes a piece of our hearts. The peace in the country is deteriorating, and the concern that it will become more difficult to live in safety prevails.”
