The 28th International Congress of Muslim Communities, hosted by ESAM (Economic and Social Researches Center), was held last weekend in Ankara with a strong participation from Turkey and abroad.
Sometimes in meetings, one cannot grasp the importance of certain things while they are involved in. When one comes out, then understands better what it means.
Sometimes people might think, "So many people are gathering, what's going on, what's working?" Even a person invited as a speaker can ask himself this question. We have to tell them:
First of all, it is a great success in itself to hold these meetings. ESAM has gathered Muslim groups 28 times a year for the last 28 years and has been negotiating the issue of Muslims on the world agenda.
Secondly, there is a great fusion between Muslim communities.
Third, ideas are discussed, important issues are negotiated, and new approaches are emerging.
Fourth, the transfer of experience takes place. Sometimes people cannot solve even a very simple matter in their own inner world and see a different approach in another country as a solution for their own country.
For example, the Justice and Development Party, which is close to the line of view that is still in power in Morocco, has turned into a political movement as a result of these meetings. This was entirely the result of the interaction here.
Another example, Indonesia's recently established ruling partner, the Welfare and Justice Party, was also involved in the political struggle.
Last but not least; The issues that need to be kept on the agenda are kept alive by forming a unity. These are very important.
In addition to the Palestinian cause, Moro Muslims, such as the Kashmir issue, are keeping all important events alive through the meetings there. Thus, it remains on the agenda of Muslims and offers new solutions.
One of the participants of this year's meeting was Haji Murat Ibrahim, Prime Minister of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of the Philippines and the leader of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.
Finally, as you know, Moro Muslims brought their problems to the agenda in these meetings, put them into practice as a result of the consultations and achieved victory and declared autonomy and took the Prime Ministry.
However, a temporary process is currently underway, and if this administration is not successful, the Islamic administration will lose it there. We have to take care of it here. Moreover, they reveal a secular structure, which would be an alternative competitor. Therefore, Prime Minister Hajj Murat urged everyone to help and invest there. This was very important.
Another participant of the meeting shared very important information about the atrocities committed to them in the delegation from East Turkestan.
There were also intense participants from countries in other crisis regions. Because people in crisis areas are looking for a way out. They're looking for someone who can help them out. Therefore, they are interested in such meetings.
During the meeting, some participants from the persecuted countries caught my attention. The Pakistani Muslim Community and the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt and Yemen and Syria did not participate. We didn't know much about them. These can be recorded as the missing aspect of the meeting.
One of the important aspects of this meeting was the intense participation from the American continent. American Muslims after the September 11 attacks, while largely closed to outside organizations want to participate in any way in Turkey; America, Canada, Ireland etc. It was important to have such participants. As we have seen, we observed that these participants were willing to cooperate with the people of this region in order to be guided.
Every meeting can have its drawbacks. We let go on the positive aspects.
Without any public support, the individual, on their own initiative, exceeds the time allocated to them and ends their personality and ends their speeches. In addition, because it causes injustice, the conversation environment in that meeting turns into a hate environment.
I've always seen people in such meetings who don't listen to the notion of hour-time in their speeches, and I'm the most important speaker here, everyone in the mood to hear me. Most of the participants say, “I wish they would not allow this man to come next year”. And, of course, it is also not right for the men whose credit is no longer worthy to be discharged in the political environments where they are present, and that they also emit new stenches.
Yes, these doors are open to everyone, but you should be kindly entered through the door. This door is entered with decency, and exited with knowledge and wisdom.
