In our article titled “Building cities within us” which we wrote in the past weeks, we made some observations that “All cities that have made their mark on history have their own spirit, characteristics recalled at a glance and silhouettes that you can say “this city is that city”. Mecca, Medina, Jerusalem, Damascus, Istanbul, Paris… Governments that manage cities, that is, local authorities, have the responsibility of transferring them to the next generation just as they found them. People living in a city should also check their local authorities at any time, review their betrayal or investment in their city. Those living in cities should not destroy the city and apply self-control to local authorities in order to preserve their historical values. We need to build cities first. Civilization starts with people's view of the city. He loves the city, owns the city and builds structures that will carry the city to the future. Unfortunately, both the cities of 21st century, humanity and the love and respect of each other are becoming artificial. Wise Architect Turgut Cansever says,”The evolution of spirituality is to create a love society, and the evolution of material is to make cities beautiful.” It is the relations of people who live there with each other that add spirit to cities ”

Istanbul is a world capital. Istanbul is the capital city of civilizations, a city that opened and closed the era. Although it may seem like Turkey's capital is Ankara, everyone knows, Ankara is only the capital of the bureaucracy. Istanbul has already taken its place in literature as the capital of social, political, cultural and sociological sense of Turkey. Undoubtedly, being a local administrator in this city has a great meaning and responsibilities.

Being a local administrator in a city is never only  making the sidewalks of that city, collecting the trash, distributing the water to everyone in a fair way, and increasing the greenery. To become a local administrator in a city like Istanbul requires first of all to make this city, which is the eye of the whole world, a "World Brand".

After 25 years in the renewed Istanbul elections, the Republican People's Party took the mayor of Istanbul from the AKP. We have read hundreds of articles and writings on why the AKP lost elections in terms of sociological, political and communication. But we can clearly say that CHP did not win these elections and the AKP did not lost. How?

Especially the disruptive and SOS aspect of the Presidential Government System emerged with these elections. By voting negatively the economic crisis, unemployment, poverty, democracy and human rights, high interest rate, inflation are happening in Turkey, shortly the system’s flaws which have entered into force recently, due to be overly involved in elections of Party presidential system and the President Tayyip Erdogan, the electorates gave a great warning to the AKP.

Istanbul means Turkey means ... Turkey means Istanbul…The main artery and resources that determines the economy of Turkey is supplied from Istanbul. President Tayyip Erdoğan will surely be presented with different scenarios and arguments on why they lost the elections.

But Erdogan should know that Turkey's economic, political, cultural capital is the main reason of loss of Istanbul, is the inability to manage the whole of the country. Failure of the system is because of SOS.
