The US has announced that it has sent an USS Arlington warship and Patriot air defense battery to the Middle East over Iran's growing tensions.
The USS Arlington warship is heading to the Persian Gulf and is reportedly sent to the region after intelligence reports have been taken against Tehran for preparing attacks against its troops in the region.
The battleship and a Patriot air defense battery were reported to be joining USS Lincoln and B-52 bombers.
The Pentagon said it was reported that additional forces were sent to boost the forces deployed in the Middle East to counter Iran's threats.
The USS Arlington ship, which was sent to the Persian Gulf on the claim that Iran came from intelligence reports prepared an attack in the region; as well as soldiers, amphibious vehicles, propeller aircraft and helicopters for the runway and the Patriot system reportedly carried.
