The meat will be distributed to needy people in Turkey will be imported too. After the Meat and Milk Association, it was also the first time to grant meat imports to charities. Turkish Red Crescent would distribute the meat to the needy duty in Turkey in a way that will import.

For the first time import permits were granted to "charitable organizations" for the importation of meat that the Meat and Milk Association started to "lower prices" but failed. Accordingly, the Turkish Red Crescent shall be able to import sheep, goat and beef without duty and exempt from the health and technical conditions required in the notification of imported meat. Domestic producers will still be counted, the solution will be sought again in imports, and the sector will be thoroughly finished!

Until today, only the meat import permit granted to the Meat and Milk Association has been granted for the first time to charities. The charitable organizations will be able to import sheep, goats and beef exempted from the health and technical conditions required in the duty-free and imported meat notification until 31 December 2018. There was no limit to the amount of meat imported by charitable organizations. Although the import authority seems to have been given to all the charities, it is noted that only the Turkish Red Crescent will benefit from the import authority.

The AKP government's agriculture and livestock policy was completely bankrupt. While trying to establish a perception that agriculture and animal husbandry are supported, on the other hand, all kinds of policy dreams are passed in order to complete the animal husbandry of the country. After the Meat and Dairy Instution were allowed to import meat in the first aid organizations in Turkey.

By amending the regulation and communiqué published on the 20th of August in the Official Gazette, donors will be able to import meat. The scandal does not end with that either. The importation of meat by the charitable organizations will be carried out not subject to the "Communiqué on Determination of Health and Technical Conditions in Importing Cattle Meat". In order to facilitate the importation of meat by aid agencies, the ministry will prepare specific technical and health specifications for them.

The provisional article 3 was amended by amending the "Regulation on the Arrangement of Veterinary Controls on the Entry of Products into the Country" published on 20 August in the repetition of the Official Gazette. According to this, "the procedures and principles concerning the health and technical conditions of meat, sheep, goat and bovine animals, which are operated for humanitarian and charitable purposes, and which are imported by associations and foundations having the right to collect aid without permission, shall be determined by the ministry". With the Regulation, "Communiqué on Determination of Health and Technical Conditions in Imports of Beef" was also amended and included in the "provisional Article 3" communiqué added to the said regulation. With the amendments made in the Regulation and Communiqué, when the permission organizations were granted special permission for importing meat, the meat imported by the aid organizations was exempted from the health and technical conditions required in the notification of imported meat. The ministry will determine the desired technical health conditions for meats imported by charitable organizations.

Although the amendment of the regulation seems to include all the aid schemes, it is noted that the amendment of the regulations was made only for the Turkish Red Crescent. Until now, it is stated that only Kızılay has applied.

As is known, a time of "agriculture and animal husbandry country" in Turkey, seven years ago "to reduce red meat prices" had attempted to red meat and livestock imports. When prices did not fall in the meantime, the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock said that the reason for the importation was "the prices were stable". Last year, as a "solution" to unimaginable prices, several chain stores started selling "cheap imported minced meat and corn flakes".
