Citizens did not favor the "Currency Protected TL Deposit System", which has been discussed in many aspects, especially halalness, since the day it was issued.
In the system presented by the government as a recipe for the salvation of the economy, only 5% of the 278 billion foreign currency deposits are converted into TL, which shows that the system has failed.
While the lack of demand for the system has caused comments among AKP deputies, "It has not been successful so far", it is thought that the situation will increase the distrust in the market.
Objections to many regulations put into effect after the economic crisis in the ruling party are increasing.
Comments on the exchange-protected convertible TL deposit system, which started to be implemented after the fluctuation in the dollar exchange rate, “did not meet the expectations” increased within the AK Party.
"SYSTEM FAILED"
Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance Murat Zaman, who made a presentation at the Planning and Budget Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, commented on the currency-protected TL deposit system, "pray, let it be", and comments from AK Party deputies that the system in question was not successful.
The fact that only 5% of the 278 billion foreign currency deposits was converted into Turkish Lira after the implementation of the said regulation opened up the debate within the party whether the system was successful or not.
IT WILL CAUSE INSAFETY IN THE MARKET
"If 25 to 75 billion dollars in foreign currency deposits were converted into Turkish Lira, we would show that the system was accepted," the deputies in question comment...
It is stated that the exchange-protected deposit system will cause insecurity in the market if 25 billion dollars is not converted into TL in the short term.
