The Eid al-Adha will be held between 10-14 August this year. Each day before the feast of the Eid al-Adha holiday to the 9-day debates on whether to remove the Ankara Chamber of Industry President Nurettin Ozdebir, reacted to the request to extend the holiday with his statement.
LONG-TERM HOLIDAYS CUT OUT PRODUCTION
Özdebir pointed out that tourism will be alive due to the summer months of Eid al-Adha. "This year, tourism is already having a very successful season. The Eid al-Adha also coincides with the August peak of tourism. So I don't think it's right to extend the 5-day Eid holiday. Long-term holidays are disrupting production."
NON-PRODUCING COUNTRIES CAN NOT GROW HEALTHY
Özdebir, that there are important goals of Turkey and not doing more holiday to achieve these goals, more work and stressing the need to produce, "Turkey is an approach to production-oriented economy, healthy with a non-dependent on high value added and export production model to reveal will have a growth model. For this, we have to produce more. A country that does not produce cannot achieve healthy growth".
