IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation works in coordination with AFAD, Red Crescent, Turkish Armed Forces and many non-governmental organizations in earthquake-affected areas.
Yesterday and today, IHH delivered soup and food packages to those affected by the disaster in Kilis and Gaziantep.
Gendarmerie teams and various NGOs also supported the distributions in Kilis.
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation started emergency relief efforts right after the earthquake.
On the first day of the works, soup was distributed to 20 thousand people and emergency aid supplies for 2 thousand 500 people.
SOUP DISTRIBUTION TO 20 THOUSAND PEOPLE
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation Syria Studies Secretariat Nurullah Polat, "On the second day of the disaster, our work continues at full speed. We continue the soup production from here. On the first day of the earthquake, we delivered more than 20 thousand hot meals. On the second day, we will work at full capacity and deliver hot meals to more than 50 thousand people. All our institutions are mobilized. Your support is very important to us here," he said.
NEEDS LIST ANNOUNCED
IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation listed the urgently needed materials in earthquake areas as follows: Blankets, tents, bread, water, raincoat, mat, electric heater, canned ready-made food, cold sandwiches, fruit juice, searchlight, baby diapers, hygiene materials, coat, boats, energizing foods, (such as chocolate, cake) tens of thousands of people are in need of urgent help in the provinces where the earthquake occurred.
