The Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞ-DER) Branch Heads Meeting was held in Ankara with a wide participation.
Speaking at the meeting, "ÖĞ-DER" Chairman Numan Gökmen made statements regarding the problems of education and the inadequate decision taken in the collective bargaining meeting.
Reminding that the Law on the Teaching Profession consists only of career steps, Gökmen stated that the law should be rearranged.
“WE SHOULD ALSO GIVE ATTENTION TO SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT”
Pointing out that students who do not want to study after secondary school should be directed to vocational training centers instead of having to attend high school, Gökmen stated that with this arrangement, the opportunity to acquire a profession at an early age can be given.
In addition, Gökmen stated that the religion course should be taught in schools at an earlier age.
“A NEW EDUCATION SYSTEM MUST BE BUILT”
Addressing the administrators of education, Gökmen stated that raising good people in education should be given importance.
"Efforts should be made to raise people with good morals, compassion and merit. For quality in education, first of all, the Western imitator, EUist education system that we have been lost in for 200 years and from which we have not come out, should be abandoned, and a new education system based on our own beliefs, morals and culture should be built," Gökmen said.
