While a 50+1 percent requirement was sought for the presidential election, none of the existing candidates could exceed 50+1 percent, according to unofficial results.
While the presidential election was left to the second election to be held on May 28, there was a change in the distribution of seats in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Saadet Party will be represented by 10 deputies in the Parliament.
Türkiye's agenda was the elections held yesterday since the beginning of the year. According to the unofficial results of the election, while the elections went to the second round, none of the candidates could exceed 50+1 percent.
In the parliamentary elections held other than the presidential elections, different results emerged compared to the parliamentary elections held in 2018, while the distribution of seats in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye changed completely.
10 PARTY TO BE REPRESENTED IN THE PARLIAMENT
According to the unofficial results, the AK Party 35.58 percent, CHP 25.33 percent, MHP 10.07 percent, Iyi Party 9.69 percent, Yeşil Sol (Green Left) Party 8.81 percent, Yeniden Refah (Welfare Again) Party 2.82 percent, Türkiye Workers Party (TİP) gets 1.73 percent of the votes.
While Saadet Party, Gelecek (Future) Party and Deva Party, which entered the elections with the Nation Alliance under the logo of the Republican People's Party, won deputies, Hüda Par (Free Cause), who entered under the AK Party logo, also sent deputies to the Parliament.
No candidate from the lists of the Zafer (Victory) Party, which received 2.23 percent of the votes, the Great Union Party, which received 0.99 percent of the vote, and Memleket (Homeland) Party, which received 0.93 percent of the votes, could not enter the Parliament.
AK PARTY IS FALLING IN THE ASSEMBLY
While there were changes in the local elections held in 2018 on the basis of parties, the AK Party, which is in the People's Alliance, received 42.56% of the votes and 295 deputies in the 2018 elections.
In the 14 May elections, the AK Party's vote rate was 35.60 percent, while the number of seats was 267. According to unofficial results, the AK Party lost 28 deputies compared to the 2018 elections, losing 6.96 percent of the votes.
CHP INCREASED THE NUMBER OF MEPs IN THE ASSEMBLY
The Republican People's Party, which is part of the Nation Alliance, had 146 deputies with 22.65% of the votes in the 2018 elections. According to unofficial results, CHP won 169 seats with 25.33 percent of the votes in the 2023 elections.
While CHP increased the vote by 2.68 percent in the 2023 elections, it won 23 deputies. A total of 37 deputies from the CHP lists, including Saadet Party, Democracy and Progress (DEVA) Party and the Future (Gelecek) Party, were sent to the Parliament.
MHP RECEIVED 10.08 PERCENT OF VOTES, REMAINING UNDER THE DAM IN THE PRE-ELECTION SURVEY
While it was stated that the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), which is in the People's Alliance, was below the threshold in most of the pre-election polls, it made a surprise at the ballot boxes.
MHP won 49 seats with 11.1% of the votes in the 2018 elections. According to unofficial results, the MHP's vote rate was 10.08 percent in the last election, and the number of seats was 50.
Compared to the 2018 elections, the MHP decreased the votes by 1.02% and increased the number of deputies by 1 seat.
The Good (İyi) Party, which is in the Nation Alliance, had 43 deputies with a rate of 9.96 votes in the 2018 elections.
In the 2023 elections, it sent 44 deputies to the Parliament with 9.70 percent of the vote. Thus, while the Iyi Parti lost 0.26 percent of the vote, it sent an extra deputy to the Parliament.
The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) entered the elections from the Green Left Party lists due to the ongoing closure case. In the 2018 elections, HDP received 11.70 percent of the vote and won 67 deputies.
In the election they entered as the Green Left Party in the 2023 elections, they won 62 deputies with 8.82 percent of the vote, according to unofficial rates.
While there was a 2.88 percent loss of votes compared to the 2018 elections, it lost 5 deputies in terms of the number of deputies.
The Workers' Party of Türkiye (TIP), another party within the Alliance for Labor and Freedom, won 4 deputies with 1.73 percent of the vote, while TIP showed its candidates from the HDP list in the 2018 elections and won 2 deputies.
With the decision taken by the Nation Alliance parties, Saadet Party, Democracy and Atılım Party (DEVA), Future Party and Democrat Party (DP) entered the elections from the CHP lists.
Saadet Party showed 24 candidates in total, DEVA 25, Future Party 19, Democrat Party 3 parliamentary candidates from CHP lists. According to the unofficial election results, Saadet Party won 10, DEVA 14, the Future Party 10, and the Democrat Party 3 deputies.
YRP SENT 5 MINISTERS TO THE ASSEMBLY
The Re-Welfare (YRP) Party, which is in the People's Alliance and entered the elections, won 2.82 percent of the votes in the 2023 elections, which it entered for the first time, and sent 5 deputies to the Parliament with the threshold that was not applied because it was in the alliance.
The Free Cause Party (Hüda Par), which entered the elections from the AK Party lists within the People's Alliance, will serve in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey as 3 deputies from the 4 deputies who were elected as AK Party candidates.
