Occupier Israeli tanks on Saturday fired shells at the eastern border of Gaza, said an Israeli military spokesman.
In a Twitter post, Avichay Adraee, the spokesman, said the attack was launched in response to a bomb attack from the Palestinian territory near the security fence in northern Gaza, where no Israeli troops were present at that time.
Adraee said that the Israeli military tanks destroyed a “monitoring point” of Hamas.
However, a Palestinian security source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media, told Anadolu Agency that an Israeli tank stationed on the eastern border of Gaza targeted an empty agricultural land.
No casualties were reported in the attack, said another source in the Palestinian hospital.
